Application Examples: SystemOnChip with Leon3 This is an example with LEON3, a 32-bit SPARC8 compliant CPU. We deliver the LEON3 with the test program of the Hpe board you bought. This VHDL and C sources are free for customers further designs. The CPU is free under GNU GPL, means free for development. If customer will use this CPU in his own design he can license this system from us. LEON3 supports many operation systems, essentially Linux. A multi processor system with the dedicated Linux is available. With this CPU and the numerous macros it’s easy to develop your own controller, with FPGA for lower quantities, moving to an ASIC for higher volumes. In context of our support we offer our customers the preparation of his own application and a high quality training on the handling of his specific system.
