AT-EM EtherCAT Master Stack available for Linux now
Acontis technologies announces that its portable EtherCAT Master Stack AT-EM 1000 is now also available for the Linux operating system.
AT-EM 1000 is an industry-proven, reliable, sophisticated EtherCAT Master stack, primarily focused on embedded and real-time operating systems.
As Linux becomes more and more successful in the embedded world the demand for a sophisticated EtherCAT master stack solution is growing.

EtherCAT Master Stack
The AT-EM / embedded EtherCAT Master Stack is designed and optimized to run on different embedded (real time) operating systems.
Already existing implementations are available e.g. for Windows CE, VxWorks, On Time RTOS-32, QNX, RTX and Windows XP.
For evaluation purposes a Windows XP non-real-time solution exists: any network adapter card may be used to connect a PC with EtherCAT modules. Using the source code the EtherCAT master stack can easily be ported on other embedded operating systems.
