Intellectual Property (IP) Handling
Gleichmann Research offers for all customers of our platforms the cost free AMBA IP Manager, which is included in the Hpe®_desk. This tool handles a set of available IP from different providers, details you can see in the table.
The user can drag out of a list of IP the required function and drop the macro into the schematic. In this way it’s easy to create complex circuitry, fast and bug free. After inserting the parameters like address range, interrupt, clock etc. the system starts a conformity check and generates automatically a top level VHDL netlist. The system already knows the pinning of all modules, base boards and child boards. After this the AIM synthesize the complete circuit and program the FPGA.
All available IP are encrypted with the Altera® Encryption system.
The user gets a free license for all required IP from GE-Research for evaluation up to one year.
This system is a really easy to use application. It gives the customer the chance to evaluate different IP together with a CPU. They can evaluate very easily different implementations and IP and decide afterwards on the right solution. After the development the user can contact GE-Research or the IP provider for licensing of the IP. Different models are available.
Whenever a user wants to add an own IP and functionality he can do it manually by editing the top level netlist or license Hpe®_AIM.
